Questions, answered.

01Do I have to register my car in Florida?

Under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, servicemembers may keep their legal residence in another state in some cases. Registration and insurance rules still need checking. Confirm with your installation legal office and the Florida Department of Financial Services.

02Will my current policy work after I move?

Tell your insurer before you move. Your current company may not write policies in the new state, and limits must meet the new state minimum.

Draft educational guidance for owner and compliance review before publication. Figures are taken from the official source listed and can change; confirm current requirements with that source.
