Questions, answered.
01Do I have to register my car in Washington?
Under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, servicemembers may keep their legal residence in another state in some cases. Registration and insurance rules still need checking. Confirm with your installation legal office and the Washington Office of the Insurance Commissioner.
02Will my current policy work after I move?
Tell your insurer before you move. Your current company may not write policies in the new state, and limits must meet the new state minimum.
